THIRLMERE RAIL HERITAGE
CENTRE

Visit the Thirlmere Rail Heritage Centre - home of NSW's rail heritage.

Kids of all ages love exploring Australia's largest display of historic locomotives, carriages and rail memorabilia. Take a free guided tour.

Make a day of it and picnic in the spacious grounds.

The Museum is open 7 days a week (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and Good Friday):

Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays: 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
Monday to Friday: 10.00 am to 3.00 pm
Monday to Friday (NSW School Holidays): 9.30 am to 4.00 pm

Thirlmere is just an hour (85 kilometres) from the Sydney CBD along the M5 - an ideal, easy day trip.

Driving? Head for Picton from the M5 and follow the signs to Thirlmere, 7 kilometres past Picton.
